Many people will recognize the statue by Rodin, The Kiss ('Kusje’ is Dutch for ‘little kiss'). After first painting the raw outline of the statue I roughly added shades and light, expecting to continue filling in more of the detail of it all. But then I stopped and left it like this. It does not need more ‘filling in’. The kiss should stay raw and rough.
